The short version
- There’s no sign-up. Your baby’s profile, logs, vaccines, health diary, medicines, foods, growth, memories, photos and expenses are stored on your phone.
- Data leaves your phone only for features that need it: Ask Ollie (if you use it), Family Sharing (if you start or join a family), backups to your own iCloud or Google Drive, purchases, and the email you choose to send us.
- When you ask Ollie a question, your messages and your baby’s age, sex and region go with it, so the answer fits. Your baby’s name, notes and photos never do. If you switch on Share recent logs, a few figures from the log go too (section 3).
- With Family Sharing, the babies you choose to share, and their records, are kept on our server so your family’s phones can stay in step. Only your family can read them, and they’re removed when you stop sharing, leave or delete the family (section 2). Memories and the photos on entries are never shared.
- Bubblie sends no activity feed and no alerts about what anyone logs.
- The App Store and Google Play versions send crash and error reports to Sentry, so we can fix bugs. They never include your baby’s records, photos or chats.
- No ads and no usage analytics, and we never sell personal information.
Who we are
The Bubblie mobile app (“Bubblie,” “the app”) is developed and published by Clifford Francisco, doing business as Fordytech Solutions, based in Naga City, Camarines Sur, Philippines (“we,” “us”). We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Contact us at support@fordytechsolutions.com.
This policy covers the Bubblie app on Android and iPhone (iOS), and this website. It does not cover the websites or services of other companies that the app links to, such as the official health pages Ollie cites.
1. Information stored on your device
Everything you enter in Bubblie is saved in a database on your phone, including:
- Your babies’ profiles: name, birth date, sex, how early they were born if you say so, profile and cover photos
- Every log: feeds, bottles, solids, burps, diapers, sleep and naps, pumping, baths, tummy time, medicine, temperature and notes, with their times, amounts and details
- Vaccines and appointments, with dates, lot numbers, clinics and notes, and growth measurements
- The sick diary, medicine cabinet and first-foods records, with the notes you write and the photos you add
- Memories, with their photos, and the memory book you build from them
- Expenses and the budget you set, and the name you choose to show on entries
- Care guide bookmarks and checklist ticks, and your settings, such as language, units, appearance and reminders
We cannot see this information unless you send part of it to Ollie (section 3) or share a baby with your family (section 2). Deleting the app deletes it from your phone. Your phone’s own backup (iCloud or Google) may include the app’s data under Apple’s or Google’s privacy policy, if you have it switched on.
Bubblie’s backups. Bubblie backs up its database, with your photos and some settings, to your own cloud storage: Bubblie’s private folder in your iCloud on iPhone, under Apple’s privacy policy, or the hidden app data folder of your Google Drive on Android, under Google’s. On Android you sign in with Google for this; Bubblie asks only for its own app data folder and can’t see your other Drive files. The newest three backups are kept. A backup file you export (Pro) goes wherever you choose to save or send it. Backups never pass through our server, and we can’t read them.
2. No sign-up, and Family Sharing
Bubblie has no sign-up. You don’t give us your name, email address, phone number or password to use the app.
Family Sharing is optional. When you start or join a family, the app creates an anonymous identity for you with Supabase, the database service we use: a random user ID and the tokens that keep it signed in, stored on your phone (on iPhone, also in its Keychain, so the identity survives reinstalling Bubblie). Our server then keeps:
- The family: its members, the display name each one chose and their role, and when they joined
- The babies you share, as you entered them: the profile, logs, vaccines, sick diary entries, expenses and feeding schedule, each with when it was last changed, and the name of the member who recorded it. The baby’s profile photo is kept in a private storage folder only your family can read. Memories, photos on entries, the cover photo, Ollie’s chats, expenses that belong to no baby, and settings are not shared
- Invites: only a fingerprint of each QR code (it stops working after 10 minutes), and the times of recent attempts to join, to stop guessing
The database lets only members of a family read that family’s data; we look at it only to fix a problem you report to us or where the law requires. Starting a family, inviting, sharing a baby and removing, leaving or deleting go through our server (section 5) with your sign-in token, so it can confirm who you are and, where needed, that the family’s owner has Pro. Nobody is told what anyone else logs: there is no activity feed, and the server sends no notifications.
When you stop sharing a baby, its records are deleted from our server, and the other phones remove their copies. When you leave or are removed, you leave the family; when the owner deletes the family, all of it is deleted. A deleted record leaves only a marker with no content, so the other phones know to remove it. Your own babies always stay on your phone.
3. Ollie, the AI baby-care companion
When you send a message to Ollie, the app sends the following to our server, which forwards it to our AI service provider, Google (the Gemini API), to write the answer:
- Your message and the most recent messages of the conversation
- Your baby’s age (and, if you set it, how early they were born), sex and your region
- If you turned on Share recent logs (off until you choose it, and off again if you withdraw consent): figures only for what your question needs, such as the time of the last feed, counts of feeds, diapers and sleeps, the latest temperature, whether a sick-diary episode is open and how many vaccines are overdue. Never names, notes, foods, medicine names or photos, and never the growth log
- Today’s date, your app language, and whether you have Pro
Nothing else about you or your baby is sent: no name, birth date, email, contacts, location or photos. Before the first question, a consent screen tells you that your questions go to a third-party AI service. The conversation lives on your phone; the server keeps none of it after the answer is sent. Ollie cites official health pages from a library that ships with the answer, and the app checks each link before it shows it.
4. Purchases
Bubblie Pro is sold through Google Play on Android and the Apple App Store on iPhone. Google or Apple handles payment, and we never receive your card details. We use RevenueCat, a subscription management service, to check which plan you have and to restore purchases. It receives a random purchase ID, your purchase and subscription history, and basic device information such as the platform, app version and store country. Once you start or join a family, that purchase ID becomes your Family Sharing user ID, so your Pro follows your family identity, and our server asks RevenueCat whether it has Pro before the Family Sharing steps that need it.
5. How our server handles requests
Ollie and Family Sharing requests go to our server, which, like any web service, sees your IP address while handling the request. To apply Ollie’s daily chat allowance (3 new chats in any 24 hours on Free, a fair-use allowance with Pro) the app sends a random ID for your installation (kept in your phone’s secure storage, and not linked to your name or your baby) and your purchase ID, and the server asks RevenueCat whether that purchase ID has Pro. The server keeps a short record of each new conversation per installation ID and purchase ID (or, if there is none, per IP address): a random conversation ID, when it started, whether it was Free or Pro, how many answers it had and the AI usage it took, never the messages or answers, for up to 120 days. When a request fails, the server logs the error code and the route or step, but nothing you sent.
Google processes what we send it only to provide the Gemini service to us, under its terms for API customers. Please don’t put sensitive personal information, such as ID or bank numbers, in your messages. Ollie can make mistakes; see our Terms of Use.
6. Camera, photos, notifications and alarms
The camera is used only to take your baby’s profile or cover photo, or to scan a family’s QR code; the photo library only when you choose a photo. Photos you add are kept on your phone, and in a backup if you make one. Reminders, feeding alarms, the Home Screen widgets and the Lock Screen Live Activities are all drawn and scheduled on your phone from what is stored there; no notification or widget data is sent to us. You can change each permission in your phone’s Settings at any time.
7. Crash reports, and no analytics or ads
To find and fix bugs, the App Store and Google Play versions of Bubblie send crash and error reports to Sentry, an error monitoring service: the error and where in the app it happened, the screen, the app and system version, the device model and memory, a random ID for the installation, and the app’s recent steps before the error (screens opened, the addresses of requests to our server and Supabase, never their contents). Reporting is set not to collect personal information: no names, email or contacts, no console logs, and taps are recorded without their labels, which could hold a baby’s name. Reports never include what you logged, typed or photographed. Sentry receives your IP address with each report, as any web service does.
Bubblie has no usage analytics and no advertising, and it includes no advertising or tracking SDK. We don’t track you across other apps or websites.
8. Support email
If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write. We use it only to reply and to fix the problem. Please don’t send photos or records you don’t want us to see.
9. Why we use your information
We use information to provide the features you ask for (performing our contract with you), and to keep Bubblie secure and working (our legitimate interests). We use the camera and photos only with your permission. We may also use information where the law requires it.
The companies that help us run Bubblie process data only to provide their service to us. We do not sell or rent personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and Bubblie has no ads.
10. How long we keep it
- On-device data: until you delete it or delete the app
- Family Sharing: until you stop sharing the baby, leave or are removed, or the family is deleted. An anonymous identity that’s in no family and hasn’t been used for a long time may be deleted
- Backups: in your own iCloud or Google Drive, or wherever you saved the file, until you delete them
- Ollie messages: not stored on our server after the answer is sent
- Ollie chat allowance records (no message text): up to 120 days, to apply the daily allowance and monitor AI cost
- Purchase records: as long as needed for your subscription and our tax and accounting obligations
- Crash reports: as long as Sentry keeps them for our plan, usually 90 days
- Support emails: as long as needed to help you
11. Your choices and rights
- Delete your data: delete a baby, a log or an expense in the app, or Settings → Delete all data, or delete the app to remove everything on your phone. Delete backups in your iPhone’s iCloud storage settings, or in Google Drive under Settings → Manage apps → Bubblie → Delete hidden app data.
- Subscriptions: deleting the app doesn’t cancel a subscription. On Android, cancel it in the Google Play Store app → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. On iPhone, cancel it in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Permissions: turn the camera, photos or notifications on or off in your phone’s Settings.
- Requests: email support@fordytechsolutions.com to ask what we hold about you, or to correct or delete it. We’ll reply within 30 days. Unless you use Family Sharing, there is no account, and we hold very little that can be linked to you.
Depending on where you live, including under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012, the EU and UK GDPR, and California law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your information, and to object to or restrict some uses. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. In the Philippines, that is the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph). We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
12. Security
Data sent between the app, our server and our providers is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so use a passcode on your phone and keep its backup on.
13. International transfers
We are based in the Philippines, and our providers may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as the providers’ standard contractual clauses.
14. Children
Bubblie is for parents and caregivers, and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). It holds information about your baby that you, as their parent or guardian, choose to record, and we collect none of it ourselves except what you send as described above. If you believe a child has given us information about themselves, contact us and we will delete it.
15. Changes to this policy
We’ll update this policy when the app or our providers change, and revise the effective date above. If a change is significant, we’ll let you know in the app or on this page before it takes effect.
